TMJ Presentation

UP Rehab Services: Nicole O'Brien, DPT, presented on Temporomandibular Joint Disorders on January 19. TMJ disorders are a group of complex problems of the jaw joint. TMJ disorders are also sometimes referred to as myofacial pain dysfunction and Costen's syndrome. Because muscles and joints work together, a problem with either one can lead to stiffness, headaches, ear pain, bite problems (malocclusion), clicking sounds, or locked jaws. Terry Tripp, MPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, ATC completed the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon / May 14-6, 2010. Terry finished in 1:52 for the 1/2 marathon, was 93rd in his age group and placed 880 out of 5,000 for the race. Congratulations Terry!
